What Kate is looking for: I\u2019m looking for fiction across the range, from bookclub through to psychological suspense, crime, speculative, romantasy, historical, commercial and upmarket women\u2019s fiction, with a unique hook, whether that is a very special voice or a high-concept plot or compelling characters or a combination of these. In non-fiction I\u2019m looking for history, where the author has the appropriate platform, and memoir. My middle-grade kids fiction list is currently closed to new submissions. more<\/a>. Anne Williams<\/strong> worked for over fifteen years as a commissioning editor, first at Michael Joseph, then for thirteen years at Headline during which time she was Co-Publisher of the Review imprint and Publisher of the main Headline imprint. Anne commissioned and edited a number of Headline\u2019s major commercial fiction authors, including the Sunday Times<\/em> #1 bestsellers Sheila O\u2019Flanagan and Lyn Andrews, and prize-winning crime writers Barbara Nadel, Manda Scott and Caroline Graham (on whose books the tv series Midsomer Murders was based).
