Eva Macrae’s first novel, A DEATH IN GLASGOW, was published by Cornerstone in hardback and audio in January 2026, with the paperback due in August 2026. It introduces Glasgow Sergeant May Mackay, who refuses to believe that a young girl, whose body is found on the train tracks at Glasgow Central, committed suicide.

Eva Macrae was born in Glasgow and is a former newspaper photographer who covered stories including the Fall of the Berlin Wall and the first Gulf War, in addition to many high profile murder cases. She also writes the Shona Oliver crime series, set in the Scottish borders under the name Lynne McEwan.
